Amy Jo is Director of Policy & Market Strategy responsible for leading solar and energy storage policy and regulatory efforts throughout the U.S.  Prior to Qcells, she was Senior Manager Energy Cost Management at Charter Communications where she managed risk strategy for strategic energy procurement, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) reporting, as well as provided support to accomplish Charter’s Carbon Neutral Goal by 2035.  Amy Jo has seventeen years of ISO/RTO energy experience that also includes ACES Power Marketing, MISO, and Ameren. At Ameren, she developed regulatory policies and positions for seven years.  She is an MBA graduate of Anderson University.

Director of Policy and Market Strategy

Amy Jo is responsible for leading solar and energy storage policy and regulatory efforts throughout the U.S. She will work closely with the development team to advance the company’s objectives in target markets. Her core responsibility in this role is to translate the policy landscape into commercial and development strategies and tactics.

Amy Jo is an experienced and knowledgeable energy professional with RTO/ISO, utility, corporate buyer and developer experience.

Amy Jo has 3 kids and a loving husband.  She resides in St. Louis, MO.  She is enjoying being a den leader to her oldest son’s cub scout den and being the liaison to the cub scout pack and the chartering organization of the elementary school PTO.

Amy Jo’s passions are to be a role model to her kids, and foster a positive working environment, and transition to a clean and reliable grid.

How can the ITC extension and direct pay contribute to solar growth?

Tax credits from the #ITC extension as well as direct pay from the federal government have been outstanding incentives and opportunities for renewable energy growth in the United States. Now is the perfect time for a grid transformation to include solar and #batteries.

What inspired you to work in the solar industry?

As a lifelong energy professional, I am thrilled to be joining Qcells.  I am passionate about renewable energy and I believe the work at Qcells will help make a difference in communities across the United States.

 How can the power grid adapt to 100% clean energy?

Many cities, states, and corporations have already taken action in setting their 100% renewable energy targets.  With recently announced federal emissions-reduction targets, it is an exciting time for grid planning.
